Where does the Conference take place?
The RDC2021 will held virtually. Sessions will be hosted online and will be accessible through a virtual RDC2021 conference platform.
What language is the conference held in?
The official language of the conference is English and all sessions will be held in English language. Note, will host individuals from all over the world and you are not expected to be a native speaker, but should be able to communicate with others.
What will virtual conference be like?
5th Rural Development Conference [RDC2021] will be hosted on the award winning virtual conference platform (www.whova.com), that allows an innovative, dynamic and interactive learning and networking experience. All sessions (both live streamed and pre recorded) will be stored on a platform for an extended period of time, in order to allow opportunities to participants from different time zones to actively participate in the program discussions and network with fellow participants.
Who is eligible for attending the conference?
The conference is open to anyone interested in the topics covered, regardless of age, gender, national, cultural, religious, professional and educational backgrounds. However, space in the conference is limited and delegates are carefully selected in order to ensure culturally and professionally diverse environment, which is, we believe, where true learning happens. We host: scholars, professionals, policy makers, students and other individuals that can benefit from and contribute to the overall experience.
Do I have to present a paper?
No. You may join the conference as an observer as well, of course in case your application is accepted and you complete the registration arrangements, which is required in order to secure your spot. The main value of the RDC experience is - its participants and we encourage networking in the friendly and safe RDC environment. We are very proud of countless life time friendships and numerous collaborations born in the past RDCs.
Why am I not able to register and pay admission fee directly on the website?
Each application is carefully reviewed to ensure we only select individuals who may truly benefit from attending the RDC, but also contribute to the experience we are committed to providing: learning and networking in and from diversity of professional and educational backgrounds as well as the diversity of gender, age and cultures represented. Applicants who are admitted to the conference will receive the notification of admission by email, in most cases within 7 business days after their application is submitted and will be given further information on how they can complete registration for the conference.
What does the Conference fee cover?
The conference fee covers: invoice for paid admission, digital brochure and conference program, admission to all virtual conference sessions for an extended period of time of at least 3 months following the conference, review of submitted paper, it's presentation and publication in the official conference proceedings (for authors), copy of the conference proceedings publication and a certificate of attendance (certificate of presented paper - for authors).
Do you offer financial assistance to attend the conference?
No, the conference is entirely non for profit and admission fees are projected solely based on the organizing cost of the event, hence there is no surplus that could potentially be used for this purpose. Instead, we encourage participants to search for funding from outside organizations and we provide accepted applicants with the letter of support to enhance their fundraising efforts. A number of our participants receive some sort of funding from their home universities as well as from the local NGO, corporate and governmental sectors in their communities
